Violin, viola and chamber ensemble lessons.

Violin and viola lessons as well chamber ensemble coaching are held in a Private studio. The student's range in age is between 4 to 30 years old or even older.

The duration of the lessons varies and starts from 30 min. up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. This depends on abilities, the level of playing experience and student's goals in music study. Students mostly have lessons once or twice a week; some advanced students have one hour a week lessons or longer.

Pedagogical approach combines different teaching styles including the traditions and innovations of Russian Violin School, Paul Rolland's Method (US), Suzuki Method (Japan), educational and music psychology and personal teaching experience.

Many advanced students participate in Regional Music Festivals, National Competitions, International Music Festivals and concerts organized by the teacher. They also pass The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams. Participation in festivals and competitions give them the opportunity to pass exams successfully and become more confident on stage.

Practicing at home is a very important part of teaching process and teacher pays serious attention to this. Especially for young students a parent control and their (parent's) presence, when student is practicing at home, are necessary.

The teacher expects regular home practicing and checks "what" and "how" has been practiced every lesson. He controls the duration of time, the importance and the consequence of studying repertoire as well as correcting of mistakes.

Many students of Yuri's Studio achieved success in Royal Conservatory of Music exams and got high marks and Silver Medals. They performed as a soloists with orchestras, won auditions in prestigious orchestras and got top prizes and scholarships on the Festivals and Competitions. Students continue their music education in the universities.
